A resume built for one company: NinjaOne

FRED W. NIX JR.

ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS ENGINEER

This is not my general resume. It is the version built for one seat: Enterprise SE at NinjaOne, Southeast. Twenty five years of presales, a career of quota attainment, and a field guide to your platform that I built to learn it.

Why NinjaOne

What I look for in a platform company is simple: a product Customers describe with affection, a market with room to run, and a team being built right now. NinjaOne is all three. The company reports more than 40,000 customers, grew up serving MSP and SMB IT teams, and is now staffing its enterprise motion. The platform scope is the work I have done my whole career: endpoint management, patching, remote access, backup, and MDM. I live in Atlanta, under a hub airport. Travel is my default, not my exception.

  • The product is loved

IT teams adopt it and stay. Ease of use is the phrase that follows NinjaOne around, and loved products are the ones an SE can stand behind for years.

  • The territory is open

Enterprise is the new motion. Wide open accounts reward an SE who can create the first conversation, not inherit the fifth one.

  • The bench is forming

The SE team is being built now. The people who join early set the talk tracks, the whiteboards, and the enablement everyone else inherits.

How I learn your platform

Building is how I learn. When a platform matters to me, I write its field guide: study the official documentation, verify every claim against the source, and publish the result so anyone on the team can use it. NinjaOne is the platform I want to represent, so the guide I built is yours.

What I bring to the SE chair

Discovery first

The first call is about the Customer's estate, not my deck. An SE can ask the questions a rep cannot ask without raising shields, and I weave them into conversation instead of reading a list.

Whiteboard native

Blank wall to full platform story. Ask a question, draw the answer, validate it, repeat. Then hand the marker to the Customer and stop talking.

Teach, do not impress

Trying to impress a room pushes it away. The CIO and the IT director ask the same question and need different answers. Both get served in the same meeting.

POC discipline

Success criteria written before the install, evidence gathered during, a decision at the end. Earlier in my career: 50+ POCs at 90%+ conversion.

Both sides of the table

OEM and channel. I have carried the bag and I have carried the demo. I know how partners make money, and how to be the SE they ask for by name.

Linux strong, code real

Deep Linux, working Windows estates, real scripting. When the demo needs a custom field or an API call, I build it instead of promising it.

The shadow that works beside me

Since January 2026 I have run Larry, a persistent AI development partner built on Claude Code with version-controlled memory and a written constitution. It is how the field guide on this page exists: deep platform study, drafted, verified against official sources, and published in days instead of months.

It is also how I ramp: new tooling, new script, new talk track, with every decision remembered. The method is public at how.nixfred.com, and the system itself at nixfred.com/larry.
